Cinder

A CinderFella Story

It’s all fun and games until somebody loses a shoe…

Eldon Cinder would give anything to see Prince Xavier one last time, but only women are invited to the royal ball. When the local witch offers to make Eldon female for just one night, he agrees.

One spell. One night. One dance.

What could possibly go wrong?

*****

This is a short novella at 26,600 words. It is scheduled for release by Silver Publishing on February 4, 2012.

Just finished it and I loved it. Its hard to find a good fairy tale in this genre. I loved the twist with the witch making him a girl for the night. Very original which I appreciate. I must confess though, I couldn’t help but wonder towards the end what the two do about a heir of their own. More of the witch?? Just pass the kingdom off to a cousin? Eldon spends nine months as a woman? I realize it is a fairy tale and we aren’t supposed to think about the HEA. But when you write this well and the story is this enjoyable, I can’t help but think about the HEA.

I would love if you were to start doing more fairy tales. I liked how in the beginning when Eldon was mentioning servants rumors, that they were all fairy tales. Any plans to do some of those??

Thanks! I’m very glad you enjoyed it. At this point, I don’t have any plans to write another one, but anything is possible. :-)

I absolutely love fairy tale retellings! It’s so interesting to see how someone else tells the tale. I would love to see a m/m retelling of Tam Lin, it’s one of my favorites. I’m very much looking forward to reading this :)

  5. This sounds interesting. It’s hard to find good LGBT fairytale retellings! I’ve loved this genre for a long time, but it’s rare to find a good story in the bunch. I’m pretty sure this one is going to be at the top of my kindle list!
