Enjoy!

Please consider voting, plus a random update…

Strawberries for Dessert is in the 2010 Preditors and Editors Readers Poll for Best Romance. Please consider giving it your vote.

Also, check out this guest blog post Ethan Stone did on Jadette Paige’s blog. Partly I point you there because Ethan’s a good friend, but partly it’s because he said such nice things about me. :-)

For those who like a random dose of man candy, I now have a Tumblr. Feel free to check it out.

I hope to have news for you soon regarding Between Sinners and Saints.

You can still enter to win The Pharaoh’s Concubine by Z.A. Maxfield. Go here. And don’t forget that Rachel Haimowitz will be here on January 17th as part of her Anchored Release Blog Tour! There will be prizes, so make sure you stop by!

One more Strawberries note…

Strawberries for Dessert also made the Smart Bitches, Trashy Books: Best Romance of 2010 list!

Good day for Strawberries!

Two fun things this morning:

Strawberries for Dessert took second place for Contemporary Gay Romance in Elisa’s Rainbow Awards. There was some seriously stiff (no pun intended) competition in this category (in EVERY category), and I’m thrilled to have been chosen. For more info, go here.  Strawberries for Dessert was also part of a massive tie for third place for best character (which must have been Cole’s doing).

Also, Sarah Frantz of Dear Author listed Strawberries for Dessert on her Best of 2010 list.

Congrats to everybody who won Rainbow Awards, including Heidi Cullinan, whose book Special Delivery took 1st place in the

Contemporary Gay Erotic Romance category, and to LA Witt, who had two books in the top ten in that same category!  And congrats AGAIN to Heidi for taking first place with two different books in the Gay Fantasy category with Hero and Miles and the Magic Flute. ROCK ON! You can see the entire list of Rainbow winners here.

Phew!!

Strawberries for Dessert has been out for almost a week, and so far the feedback has been overwhelmingly good.  I’m actually a bit floored by just HOW good.  But I’m not complaining!  I want to thank every one of you who has bought it and/or read it, and everybody who’s left a comment or sent me an email.  I really, truly appreciate it.

Tomorrow morning, my good friend Ethan Stone will be here and we’ll be heading off to Rocky Mountain Folk Festival.  Yes, this is the same Folk Fest where I first dreamed up Zach, and the beginnings of A to Z.  And it’s the same Folk Fest that Zach takes Angelo to in A to Z, where they meet Matt and Jared for the first time.  Early next week, I should have some pics of Ethan and I to share.

I always lose motivation during a release, so I haven’t accomplished anything meaningful this past week.  I have three projects going at the moment, which is new for me.  I usually only work on one thing at a time.  I’m not sure how to handle it.  My plan right now is to NOT handle it at all.  I’ll go to Folk Fest, and maybe my brain will brew something up.

Then again, maybe it won’t.

Strawberries for Dessert is available now!

Go here to buy the ebook from Dreamspinner Press.

Go here to buy the paperback.

It should pop up on other merchant sites (i.e. Amazon and ARe) in the next few days.

Enjoy!!

Working on something new

Do you all get tired of these random updates?  For better or worse, I seem to do a lot of them.

Well, here goes…

One More Soldier has been out for a week now, and so far most of the feedback has been very good.  I knew this story wouldn’t necessarily appeal to everybody.  Then again, what story does?

Strawberries for Dessert will be released on August 6th by Dreamspinner Press.  I’m so excited about this book!  I hope you all love it as much as a few of my beta readers.

My good friend Ethan Stone is only days away from officially being a published author! I’m so excited for him. Be sure to check out his story Being Taught, available from Dreamspinner Press on July 28th.  Ethan’s first novel, In the Flesh, will be available on August 27th.

Some of you are probably wondering about the Paris story.  This is the third (and hopefully final) book for Zach and Angelo, and the good news is, I finished it a couple of weeks ago.  The bad news is, it’s really not up to par.  There’s something wrong with it, but I’m not sure exactly what.  So, for the time being at least, that story is on hold.  I will finish it eventually, I promise.  Angelo would never let me abandon him completely.

Right now I’m working on a yet-unnamed story about a massage therapist and a playboy. Here.  Let me introduce you.  This is Jaime:

And this is Levi:

Aren’t they lovely?  Together, they’re weighing in about 25,000 words right now, which is the point where the story always starts to feel less like fun and more like pulling teeth. But I’ll keep writing and hoping that the pieces will eventually fall into place. Because, let’s face it, those two men are hot. And together, they’re absolutely smoking.

I’ll be back on the 28th to remind you to buy Ethan’s story.  Then starting on the 29th, I believe there will be a contest over at Stumbling Over Chaos for a copy of Strawberries for Dessert. On August 1st (or was it the 2nd?), I have some guests stopping by on a blog tour.  And then it will be August 6th – time to break out the Arbor Mist and celebrate!  I can’t wait!

Cole’s interview

Julie Lynn Hayes stopped by Cole’s house and interviewed him about the upcoming release of Strawberries for Dessert.  You can read it here. Strawberries for Dessert will be released on August 6th.

In other news, my brain is currently on sabbatical and I am not making any progress on anything right now. It’s extremely frustrating, but will hopefully be short lived.

Hope you’re all having a great summer!

Autographed copies of Strawberries for Dessert

Would you like an autographed copy of Strawberries for Dessert?  The cover price is $14.99, so if you’re willing to pay $20 to help cover shipping (from DSP to me, and then from me to you), let me know.  You can pay via Paypal to msexton.author@gmail.com.  Release date is August 6th.  I usually don’t get the paperbacks until about a week after that, so you won’t get your copy until about two weeks after the release date (just FYI).  But I’m happy to sign them and put them in the mail for you!
