Quick Updates

First of all, I want to say that my thoughts are with those who have suffered such a horrible tragedy in Connecticut. I can’t even imagine how terrible it must be for those families. There’s not really anything else I can say. Words are completely inadequate. I think we’ll all hug our families a bit tighter this holiday season.*

Now, a rather graceless segue as I move onto the utterly mundane.

For those who speak Italian, Dreamspinner Press is releasing translations of the Coda series. The first one, Promises (Promesse) will be released on Christmas Day. You can find that here. I believe it’s also due to be translated into German soon, but that’s not 100% set in stone yet either.

Fear, Hope, and Bread Pudding has officially been contracted by Dreamspinner Press and will be available in June or July of 2013. Exact date TBD.

I’m thrilled to announce that Blind Space won the 2012 Rainbow Award for Best Gay Sci-Fi/Fantasy novel. It also received an Honourable Mention for Best Gay Novel. Many thanks to Elisa Rolle for all of her hard work, and congratulations to the many other winners.

If you haven’t seen my latest newsletter, you can download it on this page.

Finally, Rowan Speedwell and I just finished up a sweet, hot little short story about a billionaire and an artist. I’m not 100% sure of the title yet. It depends on what happens with the publishing house. With any luck, it will be available in April, but nothing is official right now. I’ll announce it here as soon as I know more.

I can’t believe Christmas is only a week away. I have all of my Christmas shopping done, except for DD’s big gift from Santa and one BIL. (If anybody knows what he wants for Christmas, email me immediately!) The other BIL will be home from Antarctica with his fiance. I really love the holiday season, and always look forward to having our entire family together. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Bright Solstice…

What am I missing? Well, whatever you celebrate, I hope it’s warm and wonderful!!

I’ll leave you now with these lovely images:

(I know I’ve posted that last one before, but I do love it!)

*(I hate that these tragedies immediately become political. Please, no political comments. I have very little patience for soapboxes in the wake of death. Thank you for honoring this request.)
