Blind Space

Captain Tristan Kelley enjoys the luxuries of Regency service, as well as the pleasure of his Prince’s bed. It’s an easy life, if not a happy one. When the Prince decides to take a trip through the perilous Blind Space, Tristan must go with him, but somebody in the Prince’s guard is a traitor.

Blind and held prisoner, Tristan finds himself at the mercy of Valero, a pirate who bears no love for the Regency. Valero is determined to seduce Tristan, and Tristan fears his resolve won’t last. His duty is clear, but so is his desire. As the days tick by with no word or ransom from the Regency, Tristan begins to question what loyalty means to his Prince, the Regency he’s sworn to, and to the man who holds him captive. He begins to realize that being a prisoner may actually set him free.

Great book, too short though… I wanted more, I always want more with your books so what else is new. :) Are you going to come out with another story for other members in the pirate ship?

Thanks, Madison. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I don’t have any sequels in the works at the moment, but anything is possible. :-)

    Hi

Once again, just out I devoured that book straight on. I can only agree with Angela, a very good book, different from Song of Oestend but I loved it anyway. I think as a first shot to SF it’s ended pretty well and I hope you’ll do some more. And the cover, a pretty good job for once since I usually find them merely bearable whereas this one was rather attracting. Another thing, I must say that being blind and having this kind of fetichim really added a subtlety to the story. What I like the most with you is how you make things grow slowly, it gives a sense of satisfaction when things finally happen, not like the one, two, three, badaboum stuff! Can’t wait to read cinder now… When is Blind Space supposed to be printed?

I’m very glad you liked it! I’m not exactly sure when it will go to print. My understanding is that it will be in the next couple of months.
      Thanks!

    Hi Marie!

I just finished reading this and I loved it (Not as much as Song of Oestend, but it has certainly become in one of my favorites readings). And I have to say, I was really surprised by Tristan´s secret fetish. It had never ocurred to me and I was worried cos´ I didn´t think I´d like it but in the end, it turned out to be something exciting and different and really hot….

Now I have a couple of questions that I hope you could answer…

First: Do you have any pictures of what Valero and Tristan look like?

And Second (I´ve already asked you this but I want to know if you had news about it or if this subject is closed) Are you writting a new story about Cole and John at some point? In PAtZ, they got married but I think they didn´t get closure as the other characters (as a couple), besides, I´d really like to know if Cole becomes a father…

Thanks Marie and congratulations for your work…. Looking forward to February 4th and Cinder….

Hi Angela! Thanks for your comment.

First, about Tristan and Valero: the answer is, sort of. LOL. If you go here, you can see the collage Heidi made when I first started to write this story. (If it gives you a little picture, click on the picture itself to see it big.) This is also what led me to add the fetish. Those with the lace are Tristan. The guy lying on his back in the upper left and upper left of center are close to Valero, although I picture Valero darker, and also (obviously) with different hair and a lot more tattoos.

When Reese Dante was designing the cover, she came up with a fabulous picture of Valero. I was really torn about putting it on the cover. On one hand, he was hot! OTOH, I didn’t want to give too much away, since Tristan doesn’t see him until the end. We ended up compromising, to some extent. He obviously doesn’t appear on the front of the book, but he will be on the back cover of the paperback. ;-)

Now, as for your second question: It’s always been my intention to write more story for Jon and Cole. I don’t think it will be novel-length — probably only a novella — but, at this point, I haven’t started it, and can’t say for sure if or when it will ever happen. I know lots of people would like to see more of Jon and Cole, and hopefully someday I’ll get to it.

Thanks again! I’m very glad you enjoyed Blind Space!
